The restauration of the Museum of Criminal Anthropology “Cesare Lombroso” concerns the objects of the main collection, amongst them bodies of proof, wax and plaster cast masks, creations in paper, wood and cloth. In addition plaster casts and stuccoes with their original paintwork, floors in Venetian terrazzo and showcases have been recovered.
All this work was done between 2006 and 2009 in close co-operation with the competent Regional Board of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Environmental Conservation. The monumental staircase which gives access to the museum has also been restored, bringing back to light the stuccoes in green marmorino:
